Sharon Sanborn Wagamon, M.D.

Dr. Wagamon received her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Arizona Health Sciences and Affiliated Hospitals in Tucson, Arizona and completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Case Western Reserve University, where she served as chief fellow. Dr. Wagamon received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering with summa cum laude honors at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Prior to coming to The Hope Center for Cancer Care, Dr. Wagamon served as an assistant professor in the department of hematology and oncology at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She also served as the hematology/oncology fellowship directory and as a moderator for the genitourinary malignancy tumor board.

Dr. Wagamon is board certified in hematology, oncology and internal medicine.

Dr. Wagamon is a member of the American College of Surgeons Oncology Group, the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group, the Cancer Trials Support units , the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the Academy of Medicine Cleveland, the Northern Ohio Medical Association, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Wagamon has received numerous honors and awards including: John W. Harris Hematology Scholar Award, Fellow Travel Grant by Sanofi-Aventis, Merit Award recognizing high quality abstract presented by a fellow American Society of Clinical Oncology Foundation Board of Directors, Vignette Award by the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Wagamon is married with one child. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, swimming, hiking and traveling.
